Hey hey–Happy Fridayyyy! Even though I’m in school full time, & weekends are basically filled with school work anyways, there is something about the energy of a Friday I still love 🙂 Also I usually try to get most of the heavy lifting done by now so I can at least move at a somewhat slower pace once Saturday rolls around. Anyways, I have a long list of Friday Favorite items saved & catalogued from Christmas till now. I can’t wait to release them over the coming weeks 🙂 I got up early this AM to try to get a post in since I’m so behind- what is new?!
- This mug! How stinking cute is this? I feel so fab sipping my coffee in the morning with it! I couldn’t find this exact one, but I linked up one similar on Amazon (not quite as cute).. there are a plethora of fun options on there though.
2. Candy Sushi!!! Yes you heard right- Candy Sushi! I first saw this at Candytopia & then Taushah posted about it. After that I just needed to try it! Okay, I expected it to be more of a novelty thing, maybe not the best tasting candy ever- but it was all soo yummy. The little red sour gummies were my favorite followed by the gummy fish. This was too fun!
3. When I came home from SD, I had this super thoughtful card & gift awaiting me from Kate. She has just the sweetest heart!!! This lush green coconut bath bomb scent is out of this world- holy moly. Everything in Lush smells great, but this might be my favorite scent yet. AND she paired it with a toasted coconut peanut butter cup. It did not last long, lol. It was such high quality chocolate- so. stinking. good.
4. My mom got DJ and I hooked on these Icon Meals when we were in Texas! These are a great snack when you just need a handful of something sweet and also a protein boost. Highly recommend! The dark chocolate sea salt is my personal fave.
5. Norwex Envirosponge. Y’all. My mom got them for us for Christmas, and they are game changers!! They do not stink at all or have that musty scent that traditional sponges have after a few uses. Seriously do not know how I went so long without them. We have saved many paper towels by using these too. Bye bye green & yellow sponges!
6. This Lavender & Lemon Soy Candle. This was another gift that is one that is great to get, but also wonderful to give. If you read on the label, the proceeds go to helping survivors of human trafficking. Such a worthy cause, and the candle smells just lovely. I couldn’t find the exact one- but I found a vanilla scented one.
7. This video. I felt personally attacked but also laughed so hard. Trust me, worth the watch!
8. This planner below. I’m a bit late to the game posting about my planner, but it was a winner getting me through January. I’m just lovin’ it even though it’s super basic 😉 I got it for $5 at TJ Maxx!
9. The Moth Podcast. This podcast is different than ones I usually listen to, but it’s a nice change of pace. I feel like I have been kinda high-strung lately, so listening to high energy podcasts that I usually do seem to just make me more anxious. This podcast almost calms me down. The stories that people tell are fascinating, mind blowing, make you think, and bring you back down to earth. They are humbling and perspective changing.
10. Ozark. DJ and I are deep into Ozark. I think you suggested it, Kaci, so thank you for that!! We finished Season 1 last night & oh boy, is it a good show. It is extremely well done. In an interview, one of the producers said their goal was to never have a bad or “throw away” scene. I’d say they accomplished that goal with flying colors. Every single moment of the show will keep you on the edge of your seat! I look forward to watching an episode every evening with DJ before bed while eating my nightly ice cream cone, lol.

I LOVE every single one of these items. I want that candle, that coffee mug, the sponges… all of it! I literally have that same package of sushi sitting on my counter waiting to be tasted. Funny, because I think of you when I see it since we talked about it a few months ago! Lynn and I were thinking we needed to get a bottle of sake to wash it down!

Wow, I loved everything, too! We are Ozark fans, too, and good news- there will be a Season 3. Does it make you want to visit the Ozark’s…or not? If you want something fun and easy to watch, we just finished “Instant Hotel” on Netflix. A reality show competition about couples and their Airbnb type houses in Australia! Have a good weekend!

The candy sushi is so cute, haha! I love Lush bath bombs. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve bought any though. I need to look into that Envirosponge, because I think it would be a perfect thing to have. I hate my green & yellow sponges so much, lol. I also hate the smell they eventually end up getting. It makes your hands smell and I feel like no matter how many times I wash my hands after, it just lingers for awhile. My kitten hates the smell too, lol. I remember I had just finished dishes, washed my hands, and she kept smelling my hands and biting me; which she never does! hahah. I’ve been meaning to check out Ozark. Ooh we haven’t watched Ozark yet, but it’s definitely on our list. It sounds so much like Breaking Bad that I was afraid it would be a bit of a knock-off. A lot of people are loving it though, so I definitely want to give it a try!
I love that candle! The message and proceeds are absolutely fantastic, and their packaging itself is beautiful! I love how simplistic but stunning it is.
That mug is just too cute! I am a bit obsessed with mugs but I have to put a damper on it because they take up so much cupboard space, lol. I told Joshua that when we end up buying a home, I want to install a mug rack on the wall haha.

I definitely liked Breaking Bad!! It’s addicting haha. There are a few parts that are just frustrating, but that’s because it pulls you into the story so much, so it’s a very well-written show! The last season probably wasn’t necessary, but I feel like that’s common for a lot of shows.
Agreed! It makes me feel good to spend my money on those products because at least I know it’s going toward helping people instead of just adding profit to a company.
If we ever buy a house and get to do home projects like that, I will definitely be blogging all about it!! It’s on my bucket list lol.

I could – I was laughing about the taking photos … very funny stuff. I didn’t watch the Super Bowl, but I usually like to jump on YouTube and watch them after the SB is over. I heard this morning that the commercials were mostly geared to millennials as they were more tech-related. Don’t know if that’s true or not – will know when I catch up here and Reader and check them out. Don’t work too hard with all that schoolwork!

Hehe- oh girl, I thought the same thing- i was like “this is just gonna be a cute little thing, but probably won’t taste great”… it was SO darn tasty- I had to keep myself from eating it all at once, lol.
I love popcorn so that protein popcorn looks delicious, especially that chocolate sea salt one. Definitely going to check out those sponges too! Normally I’ll run the sponge through the dishwasher if it’s starting to smell but after a while that doesn’t work at all. Such a pretty planner! Pretty planners make me 10x more likely to use it.

So I know this was a Friday Favorite last fall, but Matt & I finally watched A Simple Favor last night! It had great plot twists, & the ending caught me by surprise. I really enjoyed it, & I loved Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick. They’re great actresses.

My favorite is my Kindle! I am already reading my 3rd book for the year, which surpasses how many I read last year (which was zero haha)! It is so flippin convenient to just download and read regardless of your light situation, what position you are laying in, and you don’t have to go to the store. Total game changer.

I tried making my own candy sushi once with rice krispies treats and candy – it was fun but they weren’t as yummy looking as those! Also that planner is so dreamy, I’d be lost without my planner

Oh my goodness, how adorable is that candy sushi?? I need to get this for some of the sushi lovers in my life. Ha, ha. So confession (although I feel as though I may have already confessed this to you before… HA), I’ve never had actual sushi before… I know, I know, I need to get on the bandwagon. I love rice, fish, avocado, basically all the things that you typically find in sushi. So I don’t know why I have yet to take the plunge… Hmmm, this might need to be added to my 2019 bucket list of things to do! 🙂

A current fave of mine is the new show “The Passage.” Like the book, it’s a bit intense and gruesome at times (so not like a romantic comedy or anything like that… Ha, ha). But the story is very strong, and I’m definitely left on the edge of my seat wondering what’s going to come next. I’m also loving thick cozy sweaters (since I have a cold), chef salads (on a chef salad kick these days), and Valentine’s Day chocolate. 🙂
YES! Any sushi lovers would sooo appreciate it just for the thought- it’s just too fun.
